Module Outline
The Final Major Project (FMP) module is a 6-week self- directed project, which requires students to define their own topic that builds upon the strengths of their previous AFY projects. The FMP should be relevant to their specialist area and utilise their contextual studies module – to consolidate their learning.
Each student is required to produce a body of work, clearly documenting your progress and decision making. Producing sketchbooks, worksheets and blogs that demonstrate self-reflection, analysis, evaluation and references to other artists, architects and designers.Â
Process and experimentation is valued above all!

Stage 1 : Proposals
Students are advised to develop proposals that build upon previous projects and allow them to work on their strengths and explore approaches, topics , materials and processes that they hadn’t had time to fully develop in Stages 1 & 2. This year due to Covid 19 and not being able to access the workshops on campus students had to adapt their initial proposals and have still come up with innovative work.
